Most privacy policy pages on
the Internet seem to be legal documents explaining why they will do
pretty much anything they damn well please with your details. On all
CWEP sites, we really do regard your privacy as important, so this
page is a simple statement of a few facts:
- Unless required to do so by law (which is pretty unlikely unless
you're a terrorist, or something equally nasty), we will NEVER
deliberately sell, distribute, or otherwise share your details,
including (where applicable) your username and email address, with ANYONE outside of CWEP
(the publishers of the site you're viewing)
- We will NOT bombard you with emails, so WE won't ever be directly
responsible for adding significantly to all the crap that turns up in your email
inbox.
- We may need to contact you by email from time to time, but it will
be rarely and only with something we feel is important to tell you.
- If, from time to time, we are able to send out any kind of
newsletter, it WILL contain a simple means for you to 'unsubscribe'
and we WILL respect that request by taking your email address off of
that list as soon as we possibly can.
- We will maintain links on the site in question that make it simple for
users to contact us with queries,
submissions , or for any other reasonable purpose and we will not hide
those links in a forest of unintelligible rubbish like some we could
name (but won't, for obvious reasons)
... and that's all there is to it, folks - no crap, just an honest
statement!
